Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth and poverty levels on income inequality in Indonesia during the 2015–2024 period. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the World Bank. The dependent variable in this study is income inequality as measured by the Gini Ratio, while the independent variables consist of economic growth (real GDP) and poverty levels. The results show that economic growth has a negative and significant effect on income inequality, while poverty levels have a positive and significant effect on inequality. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on income inequality with very strong explanatory power of the model. These findings indicate that inclusive economic growth and poverty reduction are important factors in efforts to reduce income disparity in Indonesia.
