Industry 4.0 is the latest development related to factory automation and data exchange technology. In order to keep up with the times, the abilities and character of students are led to follow the vision and mission of a country now, namely catching up and being able to be equal to other developed countries. In the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, Nadiem Makarim; Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia initiated the concept of Merdeka Belajar education by emphasizing 4 aspects of change, namely USBN, UN, RPP and Zoning. This emphasis makes a shift in the learning approach, especially Cultural Arts Subjects (Dance). The purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness of the concept of Merdeka Belajar on learning Dance in the industrial era 4.0. Using theoretical studies on the concept of Merdeka Belajar and its relationship with the educational goals of the Indonesian State. It was found that the concept of Merdeka Belajar is very effective and flexible if implemented properly. Students are required to be more active and innovative in processing their knowledge and knowledge so that the teacher's role is not only an informant, but rather a facilitator and motivator in learning. The foundation of student activeness is instilled since elementary school as a character that they will carry in the next level. Technological advances in the Industrial 4.0 era also support a variety of learning media that are more complex and interesting in learning Dance. In conclusion, the concept of Merdeka Belajar supported by technological advances in the Industrial 4.0 era is very effective in learning Dance so that in accordance with Ki Hajar Dewantara's goal, human learners can "mangaju-aju salira, mangaju-aju bangsa, mangaju-aju manungsa" (make yourself happy, make the nation happy, make humanity happy)
