Abstract

Early   childhood   education   has   a   very   important   role   in   child development. This period is considered the initial stage in the series of education  that  will  be  undertaken by  children  in  the  future. This  study aims  to  identify  the  effect  of  chain  game  messages  on  the  receptive language  skills  of  children  aged  4-5  years  at  Islamic  Kindergarten Sultan Agung 02 Semarang. This type of research is quantitative with a Quasi  Experimental  design  method  in  theform  of  a  nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were group A students of Sultan Agung Islamic Kindergarten 02 Semarang. Namely group A1 which  consists  of  13  children  and  Group  A3  which  consists  of  13 children. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and documentation.  The  use  of  the  chain  message  game  method  has  a significant effect on increasing the receptive language ability of class A students at Islamic Kindergarten Sultan Agung 02 Semarang. The results of the normality test analysis show that the data is normally distributed with a Sig. (2-tiles) 0.200 > 0.05, and the homogeneity test shows that the data is homogeneous with a Sig. 0.955 > 0.05 . The results of the t test  on  the  initial  data  and  final  data  with  Sig.  (2-Tiled)  0.005  <  0.05 which  means  that  H0  is  rejected  and  Ha  is  accepted,  thus  there  is  an effect of the method of playing the message chain on children's receptive language abilities.
